Welcome to The Joyfully Nourished Life!

As a dietitian/nutritionist and healthcare professional, I know how easy it is in our society to put too much emphasis on body weight as a marker of wellness. Our doctors say we need to lose weight to optimize our health. The first thing that happens when we go in for a regular checkup? We are told to step on the scale. You could even go as far as to say that how you are treated in the exam room, at work and in many other settings of life may be a factor of unfair (and unwanted) weight stigma.

Well, I’m here to tell you that no matter what your body weight is, or what shape or size you are…

you are welcome here. Here at The Joyfully Nourished Life, we embrace our uniqueness in a weight-neutral way and celebrate unity in the fight against diet culture.

Our Mission

To help young women who struggle with restrictive dieting, body image issues, and disordered eating patterns embrace a Christ-centered, anti-dieting approach to healthy lifestyle change and diabetes prevention through Intuitive Eating.

Our Vision

To show that true, unconditional love and acceptance are found in Jesus Christ, so that every young woman can learn how to accept their God-given bodies through embracing their identity in Christ, gentle nutrition and energizing movement, all while kissing the hamster wheel of dieting goodbye- forever!
